RESURFACING PROCEDURES
YOUR OLD NET POSTS AND NETS
Contractor will remove net posts (when possible)
and nets and store them in an area designated by the Owner.
CLEANING THE COURT SURFACE
After removing the net posts and nets, Contractor
will clean the court surface thoroughly to remove any mildew, dirt, and
foreign matter
that will affect the
bond of the new coatings to the old surface.
FILLING CRACKS
Contractor will clean out and patch all of the
cracks on the court surface using a pourable latex compound. We fill these crack to the
full depth of the surface course in order to
achieve the strongest bond possible.
Unfortunately, as good as our patching materials are
they will not stop most cracks from
re-appearing. In most cases when
cracks are filled in late Spring or during the Summer they will
not
begin to re-appear until the first cold day in the Fall. On rare occasions we have seen cracks
return in the middle of Summer,
due
to excesively high ground moisture.
If you are interested in a more permanent solution, consider the
CrackSpan Option below.
PATCHING LOW AREAS
After
the court has been thoroughly cleaned and the cracks filled, Contractor will
flood the court surface with a garden hose, mark
any areas where water is
standing that would cover a nickel after one hour, and patch those areas to
improve drainage.
PLAYING LINES
We will accurately locate, mark and paint new
playing lines.
NET POST PAINTING AND NET
MAINTENANCE
Contractor
will clean, sand and paint the existing net posts before hanging the
net(s). We will also clean the net(s)
and fasten them
to the net posts with new lacing.
